Never has the phrase “stinks to high heaven” been more appropriate. It is well past time that allegations of the abuse of children and its cover up by the Catholic church are investigated in as full, frank and fearless a way as us puny mortals are capable, for the good of everyone, including the Catholic church. Any eternal consequences will be considered a bonus.
